How to Make a Purchase
See the short tutorial with step by step details on How to Make a Purchase.
What To Do After Downloading
The file you have downloaded is a ZIP archive containing the MP3 audio files and the PDF manual for that version of the course. The ZIP archive will be called "speak_more_clearly_-_american_accent.zip", "speak_more_clearly_-_australian_accent.zip" or "speak_more_clearly_-_british_accent.zip".
If you don't know where the file was saved, then first look in the directory where your browser usually downloads files. In Windows this is usually "My Downloads". If you can't find it use your computers search tool to find "speak_more_clearly". Check that the file you have found has the right name and that it is a ZIP archive.
Next you need to open the archive, generally by double clicking on it. Newer versions of Windows (XP and Vista) come with the software to open a ZIP archive. If your operating system does not include this you need to download some software to do this (see the FAQ "What Do I Need To Use The Course?" below).
Once the files are extracted to your computer you can open the audio folder and play the files. If you want to sort the files in to the same order as the manual, you can do this by sort by track number (see the FAQ "Sorting Audio Files By Track Number?" below).
If you have the right equipment you can copy the files to an MP3 player or even "burn" a CD (see the FAQ "How do I Create An Audio CD" below).
The Manual can't find the Audios
If you are using a manual (PDF) that has links to the audios (i.e. you can play the audios directly from the manual) and you get a message saying the audios can't be found there are two possible problems.
First check that the Audios are in the right place. For the manual to be able to find the audios, the PDF and the folder call Audio need to be in the same folder.
When you look at the files they should look a bit like this:
The other possible cause of this problem is using a folder with a path name that has non ASCI characters such as thouse used in Japanese, Chinese, Russian etc. The simple solution is to create a folder that only uses ASCI characters like "C:\speak more clearly", then put the PDF and Audio folder in that new folder.

No. Due to market demand we only have American, Australian and British. We currently we do not have plans for other accents. We do have a voice training course that is here.
Do You Have Accent Training Schools
No we do not. Our course is only available as an electronic online download. The Speak More Clearly audio is far cheaper and more convenient than attending classes and for most people it enables the change in accent they are looking for.
Can I Change My Native English accent?
Yes. Speak More Clearly was designed for both those who speak English as a second language and wish to speak English more clearly, and for native English speakers who wish to learn a different English accent. You can think of it as having an accent coach, like an actor, where you literally learn a new accent for a language you already know. If you think of it this way, then you can switch the accent on and off depending on the situation and you have not lost your original English accent.
What Do I Need To Use The Course?
The download is packaged as a ZIP archive. Newer versions of windows can extract ZIP archives or you get a free archive manager from the Internet. The manual is in PDF form. You need an application like acrobat to read it. You can download acrobat for free from adobe.com. Finally, the audio files are all MP3s, which can be played with any MP3 player, e.g., Windows Media, iPod. If you want to use these in your CD player see the notes on how to create a CD.
How long does the download take?
Speak More Clearly is packaged up as a ZIP archive that is 25 to 45 MB depending on the course. On a fast DLS link (10 Mbps+) this takes 1 min or less, on a typical DSL link (1.5 Mbps) this takes 2 - 5 min and a dial-up connection (56 Kbps) will take about an hour or more.
File Sizes
The sizes of the downloaded ZIP archives (as listed by Windows) are:
- American Accent - 40.7 MB (41,742 KB)
- Australian Accent - 32.6 MB (33,441 KB)
- British Accent - 44.7 MB (45,862 KB)
- Finding Your Voice - 29.2 MB (29,940 KB)
- British Converstations 44.6MB (45,744 KB)
