It’s sometimes tricky to know when to say the ‘k’ sound, when you see a word written with ‘ch’. I wanted to talk about some of the most common words when ‘ch’ says ‘k’, so you can pronounce these words confidently.

Let’s practise them together – watch the video above to practise words that are written with ch but are pronounced with a ‘k’ sound. 

Pay attention to which syllables are stressed in the longer words.
